Paolo Villoresi’s
lectures discuss the customs, traditions, food, fashion, art and people who
contributed to the creation of Italian culture and style. He participates in
debates, conferences and lectures at various Italian and American cultural
centers and universities.
“Today we need good homemade food to nourish body and spirit with little
money. We must profit off these hard times to improve our eating habits,
have fun and enjoy life.”
Paolo’s lectures reflect his very simple and clear convictions: Cooking is a
great art where man transforms nature’s ingredients with fire and ingenuity
according to cultures, situations and trends.
“Since we were children, we were nourished according to certain
traditions, which accompany us for our whole lives.”
Certainly, the food that nourished Paolo Villoresi at the Villa Villoresi,
in Florence, Italy, was very different from the one of the Czar or Sitting
Bull. Paolo is indeed the son of his Florence, Tuscany and Italy.
“Man is a spiritual being living a physical experience.”
Paolo believes that the beauty of nature and of the arts demonstrates this
saying.
“A people’s cuisine is a direct and concrete way to transmit and explain
its culture.”
Food goes endeed beyond the barriers of languages.
